Community Mediation Programs
The focus of Community Mediation is to promote alternative dispute resolution processes that enable individuals, community/neighborhood groups, and organizations to resolve conflicts without litigation; and to improve community group and personal relationships through neutral third party, fact finding, conciliating, facilitating, mediation and arbitration. Mediation is a useful option for dealing with many different types of disputes in the community.  By working through a neutral third party, people are given the opportunity to establish their own agreement.

Benefits of Mediation
With the help of a mediator, disputing parties can work together to find a mutually acceptable resolution to their conflict in a time and cost effective way that is both neutral and confidential. Mediation very often assists parties in either transforming or restoring their relationship to one that is respectful and conducive to effective communication.  Mediation helps the parties to look forward, focusing on positive and healthy outcomes.
