POSITION:  DIVORCE MEDIATOR
The Dispute Resolution Center (DRC), a private non-profit organization that provides community-based conflict resolution services and training in Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster County, is seeking part-time mediator(s) for cases involving divorce and/or separation.

LOCATION:  DRC OFFICE, GOSHEN, NY 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The  primary responsibility of this position includes providing mediation services to couples seeking legal separation and/or divorce.  The divorce mediator will: conduct mediations; draft the Memorandum of Understanding upon completion of the mediation sessions; schedule future sessions as may be required; collect fees; and participate in promoting the program.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with families in conflict either through the legal system, community-based, or social service agencies; mediation, conflict resolution, or facilitation skills; experience working with people with diverse backgrounds and cultures; and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Completion of Basic Mediation Training plus 3-5 years mediation experience or family law practice, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
