MEDIATOR
As a volunteer mediator, you will help people resolve conflicts through structured, confidential conversations. Mediators listen actively, remain neutral, and guide participants toward mutually acceptable agreements.
Volunteers receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to build skills in communication, problem-solving, and conflict management.
This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, calm under pressure, able to remain neutral and unbiased, and committed to helping others find common ground.
Time Commitment: 30-hour initial training + 3-month apprenticeship, then 4-6 hours per month of mediation work. Additional 6 hours of annual continuing education.
Upcoming Training: October 27-30, 2025, 9am-5pm each day. Located in Middletown, NY.

CASA
As a CASA volunteer, you will advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. CASAs get to know the child, gather information from the important adults in their life, and write reports to the court to help ensure the child’s safety, well-being, and permanent placement.
Volunteers are thoroughly trained and supported throughout their service.
This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and passionate about making a difference in a child’s life.

BOARD MEMBER
As a board member, you will help guide the mission, vision, and strategic direction of our organization. Board members provide leadership, support fundraising efforts, ensure financial oversight, and act as ambassadors in the community.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about our work, bring diverse skills and perspectives, and are committed to strengthening our impact.
Time Commitment: Our Board meets 7 times a year, and members can expect to spend on average 2-5 hours per month on board responsibilities.
